Greater Glasgow is the UK’s third largest centre of education and attracts
6000 overseas students each year. More than 11,000 graduates per year emerge
from the four universities and some 40 per cent of Glasgow’s workforce have
qualifications at NVQ3 and above, putting the city high up the European league
