Europe’s most highly educated nation?

Scotland has always taken the education of its young people very seriously.

With four universities and 13 colleges, Greater Glasgow is the UK’s third largest centre of education and attracts 6000 overseas students each year.

More than 11,000 graduates per year emerge from the four universities and some 40 per cent of Glasgow’s workforce have qualifications at NVQ3 and above, putting the city high up the European league for educational qualifications. As a nation, Scotland produces a higher proportion of graduates than any other European country.

Glasgow’s educational institutions place a very high priority on business studies, science and technology. The city contains four university business schools and there are some 30,000 students in business studies.
